Advanced RF Microneedling and HIFU
Focus Dual® combines Radiofrequency Microneedling and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, known as HIFU, to help improve skin firmness, texture and facial definition. At Amanda Janes Skin & Laser Clinic, your treatment programme is tailored to your skin and the changes you would like to see.
Focus Dual is a platform from Lynton, a UK manufacturer of professional aesthetic technology. Its two technologies allow us to work at different skin depths and select a treatment approach to suit your concerns.
Focus Dual can help improve the appearance of fine lines, visible pores, acne scarring, uneven texture and loose or crepey skin. The illustration shows potential concerns; suitability and achievable improvements are assessed at consultation.
Fine needles deliver controlled radiofrequency energy within the skin, encouraging collagen renewal. This treatment is particularly suited to improving texture, fine lines, the appearance of pores and scarring, alongside skin firmness.

HIFU delivers focused ultrasound beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen renewal at selected depths. It can help improve mild to moderate skin laxity around the lower face, jawline and neck. Results develop gradually; it does not achieve the same changes as a surgical facelift.

RF Microneedling can feel warm or prickly; topical numbing may be used where appropriate. HIFU can cause brief sensations of heat, tingling or discomfort, especially over sensitive areas. Please tell your therapist how you feel throughout treatment.
RF Microneedling may leave redness, warmth, swelling and tiny pinpoint marks for a few days, depending on treatment intensity. HIFU usually involves less visible downtime, although tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur. Allow recovery time before an important event.
Follow the written aftercare provided for your treatment. Keep your skin clean, use the gentle products recommended and avoid picking or exfoliating. Avoid direct sun and use SPF 50 as advised. Lynton’s published guidance advises avoiding heat-related activities such as saunas, intense exercise and swimming for a week. Your therapist will confirm when makeup, retinoids, acids and other active products can be restarted.
Be gentle with the treated area and follow your personalised aftercare. Protect your skin from the sun, use recommended skincare and avoid irritating products or heat-related activities for the period advised. Tell us about persistent or worsening pain, swelling or any unexpected skin changes.
After RF Microneedling, allow the skin to recover before applying makeup. Your therapist will give you a specific time based on your treatment and skin response. After HIFU, makeup may be possible sooner if the skin is intact and comfortable, subject to your aftercare instructions.
Suitability must be assessed at consultation. Please tell us about pregnancy or breastfeeding, medical conditions, medications, implanted devices, recent injectables and any active skin infection. Treatment may need to be postponed or may be unsuitable.
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising can occur. Less common complications can include burns, infection, pigment changes, scarring or altered sensation. We explain the risks, expected recovery and alternatives before you decide to proceed.
Selected body areas may be treated for concerns such as skin laxity, texture, scars or stretch marks. Suitability and the appropriate technology are assessed individually at consultation.
Both technologies can be included in a personalised programme. Lynton also offers a structured Focus Dual Fusion protocol. We will confirm whether a combined approach is suitable and how the treatments should be scheduled.
We will assess your skin, discuss your goals and medical history, and explain the recommended treatment, cost and recovery. Book your Focus Dual consultation to find out which option is right for you.
