Fractional Mesotherapy

Fractional Mesotherapy

What is Fractional Mesotherapy?

Fractional Mesotherapy is a fairly new treatment to the beauty industry, combining the traditional micro needling methods with the more contemporary Mesotherapy practice.

Micro-needling:

Micro-needling is a derma roller procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. This is generally used to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother and firmer skin.

Mesotherapy:

Mesotherapy is a technique whereby vitamins, enzymes, hormones and plant extracts are injected into the skin to rejuvenate and tighten skin in the face as well as remove excess fat.

By combining these two methods and injecting microscopic levels of products into the skin via controlled wounding, you can induce collagen production whilst also benefiting from personalised serums to suit your skins requirements.

What is it used for?

Since the 1990’s micro needle therapy has long been used by practitioners in the form of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) to fade scars and generally as an anti-aging treatment. As technology has advanced and smaller needles have become available, these needles have been recognised for their capacity to increase the bio-availability of topical treatments and further enhance their absorption by the skin.

With increased levels of formulations available, treatment packages can be created to achieve your skin goals.

  • Intense hydration treatments
  • Skin tightening
  • Dull skin colour (due to low blood flow)
  • Acne or surgical scars
  • Vertical peri-oral lines
  • Stretch marks
  • Hair regrowth
  • Enlarged pores
  • Deep decolletage creases or stubborn wrinkles
  • Any many other benefits…

What are the main benefits?

This process has two major benefits: it effectively stimulates collagen formation at the same time as allowing product absorption more effectively through the top layer (epidermis) of skin.

The microscopic punctures (which are often just the opening of the pores of your skin) stimulate collagen production in the dermis layer as it breaks some of the blood vessels directly below the surface of the skin. As the blood clots, it creates the right environment for collagen and elastin formation. These are the key ingredients which help the skin to appear rejuvenated.

Is it painful?

As expected, when you are creating microscopic holes in your skin, Mesotherapy can be a little uncomfortable however it is easily tolerated.

What areas can be treated?

The most common areas for Mesotherapy treatment on both men and women are the face, thighs, buttocks, abdomen and waste line. Under the chin, cheeks and upper arms can also be treated.

How long does the treatment take?

Each session takes approximately 30-60 minutes dependent on the treatment area.

How many sessions are required?

You will be able to see a noticeable difference after just one session but to take advantage of Mesotherapy in its fullest, we highly recommend 4-8 treatments depending on your skins condition. We also advise that you allow your skin to rejuvenate for at least 10-15 days between treatments too.

How do I get this treatment?

We do highly recommend that you attend a consultation  prior to getting your treatment carried out. We can confirm your suitability for treatment, ensure that this is the right course of action for your need and create your treatment and aftercare plan.

There is a consultation charge of just £25 which is deducted from your treatment cost should you wish to proceed. We aim for the consultation approximately two weeks before your treatment starts.
